Last year when my family traveled from India, I had a tough time finding a companion for them. Although sites like Sulekha & others have a provision to add such listings, they are not very intuitive and postings tend to get lost in all the clutter of these huge portals. Not to mention all those annoying ads and pop-ups(drives me nuts).
I thought of starting such a site but soon realized that it will not be easy with a full time job & family. So it took me a few months to make it functional.
I look forward to your feedback on what new features you will like to see to make this a more comprehensive and useful portal.

In just 2 months of its online incarnation, Humrahi has received a great response from users with over 100 listings & alerts for travel partners. I have received several emails from delighted users who found a travel partner using Humrahi. It gives me great pleasure to know that the site has been useful. Many Thanks for your patronage, please keep the comments and emails coming. While everyone likes to hear nice words, do also send in your critique on what can be improved.
Forums have also worked out to be a great place for people to interact and exchange concerns / experiences related to their travel. I do hope Humrahi forums turn out be a first hand account of real experiences from users so everyone can benefit. I encourage all to contribute to forums so it becomes a great source of information for all.

Humrahi is all about finding a partner, Recently we included new categories in the forums to help users find activity partners for their visiting parents or a play date / study partner for their kids or an activity partner for themselves for hiking, walks or for taking that guitar class together. So please take advantage of these categories and hope you find them useful.

We have received several emails asking for new features to be added to Humrahi. Some of them are:
1. Adding a parenting discussion section
2.Capability to make a travel group, specially useful for people traveling alone.
3. One request is about finding travel companions for dating :)
etc..
Thanks so much for your inputs, we are thinking about new features to make Humrahi more useful and will keep you updated. Meantime please keep the suggestions coming by leaving comments here or in "Request new Features" section of the forum.

We have added reviews section to the site. Currently it has reviews for airlines. We will be adding reviews for other things at a later time.
